题外求助:hostgator要求我搞什么SSL不懂什么来的

今天收到hostgator的一邮件
Dedicated IP Reclamation. 24 hour notice - Immedicate action requested.

We regret to inform you that due to the current global shortage of IPv4 addresses, we will need to reclaim any dedicated IPs on your account whose associated SSL certificates are expired or which does not have an SSL in use on the cPanel.



To avoid reclamation, you will need to submit an SSL purchase request or SSL installation request if your certificates are provided by a third party. The list of forms for all package types is at http://support.hostgator.com/addons.php .  



***NOTE: You have 24 hours to submit your request before the IP(s) will be revoked.***

下面按它要求的两个选项

SSL Installation - $10, Have us install an SSL from elsewhere.

另一个不知道是选那个，不过要$50和$150美元一年

我不明白，我只是给我的空间绑定一个独立IP，每个月1美元，为什么现在收到这个邮件，到底是什么意思，求助，詶谢谢

具体为非要回收SSL过期的或者未使用SSL的账户的IP地址，你可以具体咨询下Billing team吧。在线或者打电话都可以的。

感觉像流氓行为，如果已经买了ip应该就没事了，但是他们还要你的ip绑定一个ssl才可以。

客服就来一句

在HG买了几年地的空间，每个月都花100多美元，几年了，都花到海里面去了

然后我说了半天，汗一下先，主要是英文烂，太烂，主要就是说我不明白为什么要买SSL，我不需要SSL，
再次回复的是

我就是不懂，需要更详细的信息，为什么我一定要买这个SSL

IP addresses are in short supply, and must have justification when being applied to an account.

In order to justify this action one must have an SSL certificate.  

到现在我都还不明白，为什么要SSL，我就问客服，如果这个IP我不能用，那能不能换另一个独立IP给我，他说OK
就让我重新去申请一个IP

我搞晕了，原来重新申请的IP还是需要SSL，还要提供SSL

HG的独立IP地址页面这样解释

Due to the global shortage of IPv4 addresses, we are now required to request justification for dedicated IP address requests. Please be aware, at this time the only acceptable justification for a dedicated IP address we can accept is for use with an SSL certificate.

You can only have 1 dedicated IP address per shared account. The dedicated IP address must be assigned to your entire cPanel. Your primary domain and all addon domains and subdomains will use the same IP address. You cannot purchase a dedicated IP for only an addon domain. Hatchling accounts are not eligible for a dedicated IP.

他们讲了啊，因为IPV4资源稀缺，呵呵。他介绍的网站肯定也是他们自己的。

他介绍的那个有一个是free的，不过不懂是不是还有其它的额外收费，
我想不明白怎么还会有免费的
