英语每日一句:足球英语 你支持哪个队
2010年世界杯已经开赛，关于足球的讨论空前高涨，首当其冲的话题自然是对各个球队的态度了。
咱们今天就说说“支持某个队”的英文表达。
A: The opening match of 2010 World Cup will take place between the host, South
Africa, and Mexico, one of the strongest teams in the Americas. Which team do you
root for?
2010年世界杯的开幕战是东道主南非队对美洲的劲旅墨西哥队，你支持哪只球队？
B: Neither, I am a big fan of Argentina. What is your favorite team?
两个都不支持，我是阿根廷队的铁杆球迷，你呢？
A: My favorite team is the Netherlands. However, I am Korean, which means I
definitely root for the Korean national team.
我最喜欢的是荷兰队。不过，因为我是韩国人，所以我当然也要支持韩国队。
B: OK. I am curious to know if those two teams have ever played against each
other during the World Cup.
哦，不过不知道这两支队有没有在世界杯上交战过。
A: Yes, I remember in the 1998 World Cup hosted by France, Holland beat Korea
5-0 in the first round. After that, the Koreans hired a Dutch head coach hoping
that Korean players could get some "Dutch influence" from him.
有的，1998年法国世界杯小组赛上荷兰队曾5:0大胜韩国队。后来，韩国人请了一位荷兰人
做国家队主教练，希望他们的球员接受一些荷兰足球的影响。
B: I think I know this Dutch guy's name. Is he Hiddink?

A: Yes, he led Korea into the semifinals in 2002 World Cup, and then became a
Korean national hero.
