A check is not a proof of payment, this is worldwide commercial procedure, if you give a check, you have not paid yet (in a legal form), if someone gives you a check, they have not paid you yet, the payment is made when the funds are transfered.
if you do not receive CJ check you can request them topay you (or proof that you have been paid).
In a legal case, they can only argue that they are not guilty because they sent you a check if they have your signature in a postal confirmation receipt.
I think that it is not fair play CJ's check 0% responsability. And probably not legal. |
